Project Description
- Longest road tunnel In India.
- 2 Mill cum of underground excavation
- 9.0 km long main tunnel ( Excavated Cross section: 140 sqm)
- 9.0 km long escape tunnel (Cross section: 80 sqm)
- 27 cross passages
Construction method
- NATM used for tunnelling operations from two ends of each tunnel and cross passages,
- Use of most modern Tunnelling equipment,
- Poly fibre and steel fibre application ,
Geology
- Mixed Conditions with shale clay stone etc.
- Existence of fault zones
- Squeezing conditions in middle where max overburden reached m
- 9.0 km long escape tunnel (Cross section: 80 sqm)
- 27 cross passages
