Project Name: Consulting Services for Preparation of Preliminary Design & Drawings of Twin Tunnels (Approx. 1.3Km long) including Tunnel Portals and Support Systems of Tunnel for Development of Kathmandu – Nijgadh – Pathlaiya Terai / Madhes Expressway through PPP on BOT Basis in Nepal.
Project Description:
• 1.3KM long tunnel.
• Geological Mapping along alignment.
• The preferred method of construction is NATM.
• Preliminary Design of the tunnel
• Middle Himalayan Zone with MBT approx. 50m from Tunnel Alignment.
• Low to medium grade metamorphic rock like slate, schist, phyllite, etc.
• The presence of sedimentary rock like limestone and dolomite.
• Existence of fault zones.
• Magnetic intrusion of granite, pegmatite, etc.
• Close to Main Boundary Thrust & Shear Zone.
Construction Cost: INR. 480 Cr.
