Project Description:
• TBM Tunnels (Total length approx. 4.2 KM) & Cross – Passages (NATM).
• Underground stations (4) i.e. Dharavi Station, BKC Station (including Cross – Over), Vidya Nagri Station, Santacruz Station (Partly NATM).
• NATM Tunnels (2): Tunnel at South End of BKC Station (Under passing Mithi River) & Tunnel at North End of BKC Station
• Mid Ventilation Shaft at Agreepada Hutment Area.
Joint Venture: Omikron Kappa-PSP-ICPL JV
Construction Cost: INR. 2800 Cr.
Project Highlights:
• Deep (~18 m deep) station pits are in densely populated areas.
• Sensitive and Severe building structures are located near the edge of pit making construction difficult.
• Construction abutting Coastal Regulatory Zone presenting peculiar restraint on design and construction.
• Complicated layout due to land scarcity.
• Big utilities shifting/supported in place, e.g. Major water mains lines, Sewer lines, Submarine Cables, Gas lines, Communication (Telephone and Internet) cables, LT and HT cables.
